As you play on the floor, try to twist your child into a pretzel by giving directions for your child to follow. Use words like…above, below, behind, beside, left, right, under and over.
Beginning: Give simple instructions like ‘put your hands over your head’, ‘put your knees on your stomach’.
Developing: Give several directions. For extra fun, add one instruction to the next so that your child gets twisted like a pretzel.
Enrichment: Try the activity with two players. The more twisted the players, the more fun!
